About St. Michael’s Mission

In 2024, McGill Students for the Open Door began to collaborate with St. Michael’s Mission. We now connect students at McGill with volunteer opportunities at St. Michael’s.

St. Michael’s Mission prides themselves with their many services to their community. Their kitchen provides daily meals to their clients and their food bag program offers $70 worth of food to individuals and families. In addition to their food services, St. Michael’s mission offers hot showers, essential hygiene products and psychosocial intervention.

Around 125 individuals cycle through St. Michael’s mission a day. They provide over 65,000 meals a year, 1,500 showers, 4,800 food bags and 10,000 interventions. Their shelter has undeniable impact on our community. The team is honoured and proud to open their doors and welcome whomever needs their support.

St. Michael’s Mission is conveniently a 20 minute walk from McGill campus and located right next to Station Bonaventure. Their address is 1101 Stanley St, Montreal, Quebec H3B 2S6.
